Prof. Shuo Zhang is a Professor and a doctoral supervisor at the School of Marine Science, Shanghai Ocean University. He obtained a PhD in Agriculture from Shanghai Ocean University in 2006. He is a visiting scholar at Tokyo Ocean University, member of the Ocean Ranch Professional Committee of the Chinese Fisheries Society, member of the Expert Advisory Committee for Ocean Ranch Construction of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, member of the Expert Committee of the National Modern Ocean Ranch Technology Innovation Alliance, supervisor of the Shanghai Marine Lake and Marsh Society, member of the Academic Committee of the Joint Laboratory for Monitoring and Protection of Aquatic Biological Resources in the Yangtze River Estuary, member of the Expert Committee for Leisure Fisheries of Hainan Free Trade Port, member of the Expert Committee for Ocean Ranch Construction in Jiangsu Province, expert in the Expert Database for Aquatic Biological Protection and Management in Jiangsu Province, and member of the National Teaching Team for Marine Fisheries Science and Technology. He mainly engaged in research on the function and effectiveness evaluation of marine ranch ecosystems, hydrodynamic and ecological effects of artificial reefs, and ecological restoration of marine engineering.
