Dr. Darryl D D'Lima currently serves as a Professor of Molecular Medicine at The Scripps Research Institute in Arthritis Research and Director of Musculoskeletal Research at Scripps Health. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Mumbai, India, in 1982 and his PhD in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego, in 2007. From 1998 to date, Dr. Darryl D D'Lima has served in various positions including assistant professor, associate professor, and subject professor. He has broad multidisciplinary experience spanning orthopedic surgery, bioengineering, cartilage and stem cell biology, and translational and clinical outcomes. Dr. Darryl D D'Lima's major interests include musculoskeletal biomechanics. He leads a team of bioengineers, material scientists, computer scientists, and orthopedic surgeons to tackle unmet medical needs for musculoskeletal reconstruction.
