Dr. Trisha N. Branan is a Clinical Professor and the Assistant Department Head for Professional Education at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in 2006. She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at the UGA College of Pharmacy/Medical College of Georgia Health System and a PGY-2 Critical Care Residency at the University of Virginia Health System. She is a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM). She is also a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). Her research interests include complications of sepsis in critically ill patients, infectious disease issues in critically ill patients, development and assessment of critical care education in pharmacy schools, innovative teaching methods, and interprofessional education.
Dr. Christopher M. Bland is the Albert W. Jowdy Professor in Pharmacy Care at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of South Carolina in 2000. He is a Fellow of IDSA and ACCP and author of InteGREAT: A Guidebook for Creating Great Healthcare Teams.
Dr. Susan E. Smith is an Associate Professor at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy Memphis in 2015 and completed PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency and PGY-2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She is an active member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), and Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). Her research interests include infectious diseases and sepsis in critically ill patients, optimizing critical care pharmacy practice models, and critical care education.
