Shugang Li graduated from China University of Mining and
Technology in September 1998 with a degree in mining engineering. He
served as deputy director of the school's academic affairs office, dean of the
School of Energy, and director of the academic affairs office. From April 2010
to October 2020, he served as the vice president of the Xi'an University of
Science and Technology. He is mainly engaged in teaching
and research in the field of safety science and engineering. He has served as a
member of the Safety Science and Engineering Discipline Evaluation Group of the
State Council Academic Degree Committee, a standing director of the China
Occupational Safety and Health Association, a member of the National Safety
Production Emergency Expert Group, and an academic leader of the National Key
Discipline of Safety Science and Engineering. He is currently a member of the
Teaching Steering Committee for Safety Science and Engineering of Higher
Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education.
