Iman El-Mahallawi is Professor of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, the Founding Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the British University in Egypt from 2006 to 2011 and the Former Head of the Mining, Petroleum, and Metallurgical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University from 2014 to 2018. Professor El-Mahallawi holds CEng and CSci titles and is a Fellow Member of the IOM3 Royal Institute, TMS and ASM. His H index number is 21 (107 peer reviewed papers Scopus 1,332 cited publications). Professor El-Mahallawi was a Visiting Professor at the following institutions: Freiberg Technical University, Foundry Institute (Sept. 2006); Institute of Metallurgy I-MET Claustahl (Oct. 2013); and Giesserei Institute GI Aachen (Oct. 2014). Professor El-Mahallawi has more than 37 years of experience in metallurgical- and manufacturing-related education, research, industries, field studies, standard specifications, and the sustainability of metallurgical and manufacturing industries.
