Prof. Jin-Seo Noh is a Professor at the Department of Physics, College of BioNano Technology, Gachon University, South Korea. He obtained his B.S. and M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Korea University in 1991 and 1993, respectively. Then, he went to Duke University and completed the Coursework in Mechanical Engineering & Materials from 1998.08 to 2000.08. Subsequently, he got his Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2003. He started his career in 2003 as a Principal Investigator at the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology until 2008 and a Principal Engineer at System LSI Division, Samsung Electronics from 2008 to 2009. From 2009.09 to 2013.02, he served as a Research Professor at the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Yonsei University. He joined Gachon University in 2013 as Assistant Professor (2013.03–2017.03) and an Associate Professor (2017.04–2022.02) to Professor (2022.03–Present). His research direction is synthesis of nanomaterials and their applications in various fields, such as photocatalysis, chemical/physical sensors, stretchable devices, energy harvesting, and nanomedicine.
