Dr. Yousef Erfanifard received his Bachelor's Degree in Forestry from the Gorgan University of Agriculture and Natural Resources in 2000. He earned, from the University of Tehran, a Master's Degree in Forest Sciences (2002) and a PhD in Forestry and Forest Economics (2008). From 2008 to 2018, he worked as an Associate Professor at Shiraz University. From 2018 until now, he has been serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Tehran. His skills and expertise include the application of high-resolution remote sensing datasets in forest spatial ecology. He has published almost 100 research papers on topics such as ecological interactions of trees and the application of remotely sensed datasets obtained from aerial platforms (e.g., UAV) in biostatistics of forests at single tree levels. In cooperation with Prof. Krzysztof Sterenczak, he has also conducted research on the spatial pattern of trees and their interactions in Polish forests.
