Yuka I Sumita is a Professor at the Department of Partial and Complete Denture, School of Life Dentistry at The Nippon Dental University, Tokyo. She is also a designated professor at the Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU). Yuka I Sumita graduated with her D.D.S. degree from The Nippon Dental University and earned her Ph.D. in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics from the Graduate School of the Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU). She then completed her residency at the Dental Hospital of the Faculty of Dentistry, TMDU. Yuka I Sumita is a board member of the Japanese Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics (JAMP) and the Japanese Cleft Palate Association (JCPA), and is a council member of the Japan Prosthodontics Society (JPS). Her research area involves problem-solving for patients by rehabilitating their dysfunctions, such as in speech, swallowing, and aesthetics. Her latest research includes digital dentistry, machine learning, and AI.
