Qi-Wu Hu received a B.Sc. degree from Anhui Normal
University, in 2001, a M.Sc. degree from Northwest Plateau Institute of
Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2004, and a Ph.D. degree from the Institute
of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2007.
He was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Rhode Island from 2014 to 2015. He now works
as a professor and is the vice dean in the School of Geography and Environment at Jiangxi
Normal University. He is a Young Jinggang Scholar. He is the Deputy
Secretary-General and Executive Director of Jiangxi Geographical Society and
the Director of Jiangxi Ecological Society. His research interests mainly focus
on Physical Geography and Wetland Ecology.
