Norr Hassan is an environmental health professional holding a B.S. degree in environmental health and a master’s degree in public health from the American University of Beirut. She has 10 years of experience in academia and 7 years in healthcare settings, in work that spans from the theoretical, including research and teaching, to field implementation that involved process improvement. Norr currently serves as a senior lecturer and practice lead in the Environmental Health and Safety Department at the University of Doha for Science and Technology, Qatar. As an educator, she employs a variety of teaching strategies tailored to meet the needs of students, and she also oversees the practicum courses within the Environmental Health program. Jane's passion for research is reflected in her work, where she conducts studies on various aspects of environmental health. Moreover, she contributes administratively to the university, actively participating in committees and initiatives and representing the institution publicly. Her published articles cover environmental health and student knowledge, mystery patient tools, volunteering selection processes, and smoking cessation services in the eastern Mediterranean region.
