Author Biographies

Dr Naomi Kakoschke (h-index=15) is an early–mid career researcher (7.5 years post-PhD) with expertise in mental wellbeing, dietary intake, and behaviour change. She is currently working as a Senior Research Scientist in the Human Health program in the Health and Biosecurity Research Unit at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in Adelaide, Australia. She leads clinical trials aimed at substantiating nutritional and behavioural interventions for promoting mental health and wellbeing. In addition, Dr Kakoschke has a track record in identifying and modifying cognitive and neural processes underpinning health behaviours. She was awarded a PhD in Psychology in 2017 from Flinders University, for which she received the Vice-Chancellor’s Prize for Doctoral Thesis Excellence. In 2017, she also commenced a postdoctoral research fellow position with the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health in the School of Psychological Sciences at Monash University, Melbourne. She was awarded a competitive Monash University Faculty of Medicine Bridging Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2018 to examine novel cognitive interventions for improving eating behaviour in obesity. She is an executive committee member of the Australasian Society for Behavioural Health and Medicine.
