Prof. Bin Li is currently the vice president of Northeast Forestry University, the leader of the Heilongjiang Province Key Discipline of Polymer Chemistry and Physics, and the director of the Heilongjiang Province Key Laboratory of Molecular Design and Preparation of Flame Retardant Materials. He is a distinguished professor of Longjiang Scholars, a recipient of the State Council Special Government Allowance, and a recipient of the Provincial Outstanding Young Scientist Fund. He has been awarded the titles of Provincial Outstanding Teacher and Provincial Outstanding Communist Party Member. In 1997, he graduated from the National Flame Retardant Materials Research Laboratory of Beijing Institute of Technology with a Ph.D. in Engineering. His research interests include environmentally friendly halogen-free flame retardant polymer materials; functional nanocomposite polymer materials; biomass and medical polymer materials.
