Maria José de los Santos started her career in 1991 in the IVF laboratory of IVI Valencia. She is the current director of the Clinical Embryology Laboratory. She received her PhD in Biology from the University of Valencia in 1996, and from 1996–1999, she carried out her postdoctoral fellowship in Reproductive Immunology at the Fearing Research Laboratory at Harvard Medical School. She also worked as a clinical embryologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Carmen Vidal, MD PhD, is an attending gynecologist and reproductive surgeon at the Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidad, Valencia, and a clinical researcher at the INCLIVA Institute. She has been working as a specialist in Human Reproduction and Obstetrics and conducting research activities at Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidad, Valencia, since 1999. She obtained her Ph.D. with cum laudem qualification in 2002 at the University of Valencia and a master’s degree in advanced gynaecological endoscopic surgery, also in Valencia. She also obtained the European Certificate of Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgery in Clermont Ferrand in 2005 and the ESHRE Certification for Reproductive Endoscopic Surgeons in 2017. She has been involved in teaching postgraduate courses since 2001: a master’s degree in Endoscopic Surgery, a master’s degree in the Biotechnology of Assisted Human Reproduction, and a master’s degree in Reproduction at the European University of Madrid. She is a member of the research committee of the Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidad.
