Prof. Dr. Shuai Chuanmin received his bachelor’s degree in English from Wuhan University in 1989, his master’s degree in Management Science and Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1999, and his Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2003. He worked in the Foreign Economic Cooperation Division of the Hubei Provincial Department of Agriculture from 1985 to 2002, where he served as the director and deputy director for 12 years. Currently, he is a professor at the School of Economics and Management, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). He led the major projects of the National Social Science Foundation of China, the major international cooperation projects of UN IFAD, and the surface projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He was awarded one Second Prize of Scientific Research Achievements of Higher Education Institutions (Humanities and Social Sciences) by the Ministry of Education, two Second and Third Prizes of Hubei Scientific and Technological Progress, and two Third Prizes of Excellent Achievements in Social Sciences of Hubei Province. His research interests include agricultural development, economic development, applied economics, sustainable agriculture, rural development, climate change and agriculture developing countries, and sustainable development development strategies.
Dr. Shuai Jing is an associate professor at the School of Economics at Wuhan Textile University. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Economics from China University of Geosciences. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Tennessee, USA. As a project leader, he recently led the general project of the National Social Science Foundation of China: Research on Supply Chain Security Risk Assessment and Prevention Strategy of China’s Photovoltaic Industry Chain in the Context of Great Power Competition. He is also a member of the China Society of Rare Earths (CSRE), a member of the Environmental, Economic, and Policy Committee of CSRE, and a member of the Green Finance Committee of the Hubei Society of Environmental Sciences (HSE). He was awarded the 2019–2021 Hubei Higher School Humanities and Social Sciences Research Achievement Award in 2023. His research interests include the energy economy, international trade of renewable energy, and energy trade and economic cooperation of “Belt and Road”.
