Shan Ye earned a BS in earth and environmental sciences (2015) from the University of Michigan, an MS in geosciences (2018) from the University of Tulsa, and a PhD in geosciences (2022) from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is now an assistant professor of computer science at the School of Information Engineering, China University of Geosciences, Beijing. His main research topics include data-driven and AI-driven geosciences, spatial data quality and sampling bias, paleoclimate, and macroevolution.
