Zequn Hong is an Associate Professor in the School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering, China University of Mining and Technology, Xuzhou. He graduated from the China University of Mining and Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in 2014 and then earned his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from Tongji University in 2017 and 2020, respectively. After completing his Ph.D. studies, he joined the China University of Mining and Technology as a Lecturer in the same year and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2024. His research areas include artificial ground freezing, the pipe curtain freezing method, tunneling and underground engineering, and temperature field visualization and monitoring. He was awarded second prize in the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award in 2020 and first prize in the Science and Technology Progress Award from the China Communications and Transportation of Association in 2019.
