Stephen Yue is a
Professor in Materials Engineering at McGill University, where he holds the
titles of Lorne Trottier Chair in Aerospace Engineering and Distinguished James
McGill Professor. He obtained a B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Metallurgy at Leeds
University (UK) in the mid-seventies. He became an Assistant Professor at
McGill in 1989 and was promoted to full Professor in 2003. He was Chairman of
the Department of Mining and Materials Engineering from 2007 to 2015. He is the
co-director of the McGill Hydrogen Embrittlement Facility. He has also been the
Director of the McGill Institute for Aerospace Engineering for twelve years. He
has served a term as Associate Dean (Academic Affairs) and as Chairman of the
Department of Mining and Materials Engineering for eight years. He won the CFI
awards, in 2004 ($3 M) and 2021 ($4 M) for aerospace materials and
manufacturing processes.
Timothy Skszek
joined PNNL in May 2022. He is an advisor to Pacific Northwest National
Laboratory's (PNNL's) Solid Phase Processing program and the co-director of the
Lightweight Materials (LightMAT) Consortium. He obtained an M.S. in
metallurgical engineering at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1980. He
received a B.S. in metallurgical engineering at Western Michigan University in
1975. He was a Professional Engineer at the State of Wisconsin in 1981. He won
the Distinguished Project Award in the MultiMaterial Lightweight Vehicle
Project by VTO in 2015. He also won the PACE Award of Automotive News, 3D
Printed Tools and Dies in 2001.
