Prof. Dr. Ying-Ren Chien is a full professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, at National Ilan University. He received his BS degree in electronic engineering from the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Taiwan (1999), and his MS degree and PhD in electrical engineering and communication engineering from the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 2001 and 2009, respectively. Before he joined National Ilan University, he served as an assistant researcher at the Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology from 2010 to 2012. He received the Best Paper Award of 2021 at the IEEE Int. Sym. on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems) (ISPACS) and of 2017 at the 29th annual Conference on Computational Linguistics and Speech Processing. His research interests include indoor positioning algorithms, adaptive signal processing theory, signal processing on communication systems, Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning, and interference cancellation.
