Ann L Kirchmaier is an Associate Professor in Biochemistry and member of the Purdue Institute for Cancer Research at Purdue University. She holds a Ph.D. (1997) in Oncology from the University of Wisconsin Madison. Before her current role, she was a Laboratory Assistant at The Upjohn Company (1988–1991), and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California (1997–2002). She is also a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the Genetics Society of America. She has received numerous awards, including University Faculty Scholar from Purdue University (2012–2017), Seed for Success Award from Purdue University (2012), Ellison Foundation Fellowship (2009), Genetics Society of America Poster Award from The Genetics Society of America (2006), and Kimmel Scholar Award from The Sidney Kimmel Foundation for Cancer Research (2003–2004). She currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Saccharomyces Genome Database and is a Science Officer for MicroPublication Biology.
