Yuhang Wu obtained his bachelor's degree in Traditional Chinese Pharmacy from Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, where he studied from September 2018 to June 2022. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in the same field at the same university. His research interests center on the research and development of medicinal and food-homologous Chinese herbal medicine.

Prof. Kai obtained a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Southwest University from September 2009 to June 2012 and a PhD in Biopharmaceuticals from Southwest University from August 2014 to June 2017. From September 2017 to October 2018, he pursued a joint PhD in Biochemistry at Purdue University in the United States. From August 2012 to the present, he has served as an associate professor at Hunan University of Medicine. Research direction: research and development of natural drugs for diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and other diseases.
Prof. Yong Yang was a Master's student in Food Science at the School of Food Science, Southwest Agricultural University(now Southwest University), from 2002 to 2005. From 2005 to 2008, he was a doctoral student in Agronomy majoring in Medicinal Resource Chemistry at the School of Pharmacy, Southwest University. In 2017, he served as a visiting scholar at Nanyang Technological University. He is currently a professor at Hunan University of Chinese Medicine and a doctoral supervisor at Xinjiang Agricultural University, and serves as the discipline leader of food science and engineering at Hunan University of Chinese Medicine. His research interests are in the chemistry and health applications of food and pharmaceutical resources. He won the third prize of the Hunan Natural Science Award once (2022), the second prize of the Huaihua city Science and Technology Progress Award once (2009) and the third prize twice (2013 and 2016). He currently holds concurrent academic positions as the National Health Food Registration Consulting Expert, the post expert of Hunan Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Technology System, the Executive Deputy Director and chief Scientist of Hunan provincial Poria Engineering Technology Research Center, the Vice President of the Poria Industry Branch of Chinese Society of Microbiology, and the Executive Director of Hunan Provincial Society of Food Science and Technology.
