Federico Mason received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in telecommunication engineering from the University of Padua, Italy, in 2016 and 2018, respectively. From 2019 to 2022, he was a Ph.D. student at the same institute, under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Zanella. In 2022, he spent a period abroad as a visiting research scholar at the Scripps Research Translational Institute, La Jolla, California, United States. From October 2022 to September 2023, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the IRCCS Institute of Neurological Sciences of Bologna, Italy. Since October 2023, he has worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Information Engineering at the University of Padova. His main research interests include the development of new computational techniques to process physiological signals and the analysis of the training costs in learning-based network optimization.
