Nesteve John Agosto is the Head of the Center for Natural Products Research and a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines. He graduated with a Master's degree in Chemistry from Mindanao State University, Iligan Institute of Technology. His research interests include Medicinal Chemistry, Natural Product Chemistry, Chemo-informatics, and Biochemistry. His research focuses on evaluating the biological properties of fruit and medicinal plant extracts, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antidiabetic, and anti-hypercholesterolemic properties, either in vitro or in silico. He has conducted research involving molecular docking and ADMET analysis of phytochemicals targeting specific enzymes, as well as the development of antioxidant-enriched herbal tea, infant food premixes sourced from local plants, and the synergistic antioxidant properties of spice blends. He is open to research collaborations.
