Dr. George Pavlidis graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) in 2011 with “Honors.” In 2017, he obtained his PhD in Preventive Cardiology Cum Laude from the NKUA. In 2019, he completed his training in Internal Medicine at the Second Propedeutic Department of Internal Medicine, Research Unit and Diabetes Center, Attikon University Hospital, Athens, Greece. From 2020 until 2021, he worked as a Consultant Internist at the Hippokration General Hospital, Athens, Greece, and from 2022 until today, he has worked as an Academic Research Fellow at the Laboratory of Preventive Cardiology of the Second Department of Cardiology, NKUA, Attikon University Hospital. His research topics mainly include arterial stiffness, endothelium, microcirculation, cardio-vascular imaging, cardiometabolic medicine, diabetes, and inflammation. He has published more than 50 original papers and reviews in peer-reviewed journals with more than 1500 citations by other authors and a current h-index of 20.
