Dr. Yan Li received a BS from Nanjing Agricultural College in 2005 and a PhD from Wuhan Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010. Dr. Li worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania from 2011 to 2016. Subsequently, Dr. Li worked as an assistant researcher at the University of Pennsylvania from 2016 to 2017. Currently, Dr. Li is a researcher at the College of Animal Science, Zhejiang University. Dr. Li has won the 2012 American Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Project Funding Award and the 2014 American Society of Hematology 56th Annual Meeting Best Paper Abstract Award, and was selected into Zhejiang University’s “Hundred Talents Program” in 2017. Her research interests include hematopoietic stem cells and immune cell development, viral infection and immunosuppression, inflammatory response and immunopathology, and screening of anti-infective substances and research on their mechanism of action.
Dr. Min Yue obtained a BS and a PhD from Huazhong Agricultural University in 2005 and 2010, respectively. From 2010 to 2014, he worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine. Following this, he served as an associate researcher at the University of Pennsylvania from 2014 to 2016. Dr. Yue has received several awards, including the Publons Global Peer Review Award, the American Society for Microbiology Outstanding Minority Mentor Award, and the 24th Philadelphia Infection and Immunity Conference Report Award. In 2022, he was recognized as one of the top 2% scientists in the world. He serves as a reviewer for journals such as BMJ, Lancet Microbe, Cell Rep, and Emerg Infect Dis. Additionally, he was appointed by the United Nations FAO/WHO as an expert for JEMRA (2023–2027) to participate in revising the global Salmonella risk assessment. Dr. Yue’s research focuses on studying pathogen genomes and biosafety, particularly zoonotic bacteria like Salmonella. He utilizes big data analysis and microbiome combined with systems biology methods to analyze the spread of pathogens and understand the mechanism of cross-species infection and persistent infection. Furthermore, he is involved in building a pathogen big data early warning and risk assessment platform.
