Dr. Bohong Zheng received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Central China Normal University and Ph.D. degree from East China Normal University in 1989, 1999, and 2003, respectively. From 2014 to the present, he has been working as a Vice Dean in the College of Architecture and Art at Central South University in addition to being a professor of urban planning, a doctoral supervisor, a leader of urban and rural planning disciplines, and a national registered urban and rural planner. He is also the chief planner of Hunan Zhongda Design Institute Co., Ltd. and a member of the Lingnan Architecture Academic Committee of the Architectural Society of China. His main research interests include urban–rural functional structure networking and network city, urban–rural spatial development and control, and urban–rural low-carbon ecological spatial planning.
