Prof. Dr. Janusz Kotowicz has been the Vice-Rector for Collaboration with the Civic and Economic Environment of the Silesian University of Technology in the years 2016-2024. In the years 2008–2016, he was the Dean of the Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering for two cadences. For the years 2016–2018, he was the Director of the Institute of Power Engineering and Turbomachinery. Since 2017, he has been the President of the College of Vice-Rectors for General Affairs, Organizations, and Contacts with the Civic and Economic Environment of Public Technical Universities. His research activity is related to advanced energy technologies limiting the negative impact on the environment. He is the author or co-author of more than 50 papers in the JCR database.
