Vianey de Jesus Cervantes Güicho received a degree in biotechnology engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Sonora (2008-2012). She has a Master's in Biotechnology from the Universidad Autonóma de Coahuila (2012-2014). She is now pursuing a PhD in Biotechnology at the Universidad Autonoma de Coahuila.
José Alberto Nuncio Esquivel obtained a degree in chemical engineering from the autonomous University of Coahuila in 2010 and has a PhD in education in 2019. He currently works as a research professor and is coordinator of statistics and graduate monitoring at the Faculty of Chemical Sciences. He works as a consultant in statistical techniques and quality management in different manufacturing companies in the northeast region of Mexico.
He is a full-time professor at the School of Chemistry, Autonomous University of Coahuila, in the area of Environmental Biotechnology. Awards and designations: He has been a member of the National Researchers System (SNI) since 2017 (Level I). In 2017, he was part of a research team that was the recipient of the Tritio Award given by the Autonomous University of Coahuila. He has over 22 papers in scientific journals in the JCR and published book chapters in 2006 and 2023. He graduated as Biologist Chemist (2008) at the Autonomous University of Coahuila (UAdeC). He obtained a MSc Degree in Food Science and Technology (2009) from the same institution. In 2012, he obtained his PhD in Food Science and Technology held in the Autonomous University of Coahuila. He had a two years postdoctoral stay at the Antonio Narro Agrarian Autonomous University from 2015 to 2017. He has been granted funded projects from the National Council of Humanities, Sciences, and Technologies and is the main advisor of several master's and PhD projects. His lines of research cover bioprocessing plant materials to recover high-added-value bioactive compounds, solid-state fermentation, biorefinery concept, and biofuel production. He has published over 30 research articles and chapters and edited one academic book.
Dr. Leopoldo J. Ríos-González is a Professor and Researcher
at the Departamento de Biotecnología, Facultad de Ciencias Químicas,
Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, México. Dr. Ríos-González received a Master’s
degree and a PhD degree in Biotechnology from Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila.
Dr. Ríos-González’s current research interests include the valorization of
residual materials for biorefinery, biotechnological conversions, and its
applications in agriculture and biofuels.
