Dr. Roque Bru-Martínez graduated in Biology from the
University of Murcia in 1986. He received his PhD degree in Biological Sciences
(Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Program) from the University of Murcia with
an Extraordinary Doctorate Award in 1990. His postdoctoral stay at ETH Zurich,
Institute for Polymers—Biopolymers, in Dr. Luisi’s group lasted for 2 years. His
postdoctoral research (3 years) was at the Department of Biochemistry and
Molecular Biology A, University of Murcia. Since 1998, he has been a professor
at the Department of Agrochemistry and Biochemistry, University of Alicante. He
has served as the Coordinator of the Master in Biotechnology for Health and
Sustainability (2010-2016), as the Secretary of the Department of Agrochemistry
and Biochemistry, University of Alicante (2013-2017), and as the Director of
the Department of Agrochemistry and Biochemistry (since 2017).
