Viswas Raja Solomon earned his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the S.B. College of Pharmacy, Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, India. He then completed his master’s degree in pharmacy with a specialization in medicinal and pharmaceutical chemistry from the S.G.S. Institute of Technology, Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal, India, under the guidance of Prof. S.C. Chaturvedi. Following this, he obtained his Ph.D. in medicinal chemistry from the CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow, India, under the supervision of Prof. S.B. Katti. He has held various research positions in Canada, Japan, and Australia and is currently a professor at the Department of Medicinal Chemistry at MNR College of Pharmacy, Sangareddy, India. His research interests include (i) the development of novel immune-SPECT/PET agents for cancer,(ii) the development of novel, targeted alpha therapy (TAT) agents for colorectal and breast cancer treatment,(iii) the design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of hybrid molecules for cancer drug discovery, and (iv) the development of new synthetic methodologies for application in organic and bifunctional chelators synthesis.
