Weiguang Zheng is a professor at the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Guangxi University of Science and Technology. He mainly engages in mechanical dynamics, automotive NVH, vibration and noise control, simulation and design of three-electric systems of new energy vehicles, energy management, and reliability. He has presided over 20 national and local scientific research projects of various types and applied for over 50 invention patents. He won two second prizes in the Guangxi Science and Technology Awards for related achievements, as well as the Science and Technology Innovation Award of the China Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology Industrialization, the Science and Technology Progress Award of the Guangxi Mechanical Engineering Society, first prize in the Guangxi Automobile Industry Technology Innovation Outstanding Achievement Award, and second prize in the Guangxi Higher Education Autonomous Region-level Teaching Achievement Award. He is an outstanding young talent in Guangxi, a visiting scholar of the “Light of the West”, and a young and middle-aged expert in the intellectual property rights of Guangxi. He is a director of the China Vibration Engineering Society and the Liuzhou Doctoral Association. He is also director of the Guangxi Transportation Industry Vehicle-Road-Cloud Integration Collaboration Key Laboratory and assistant director of the Commercial Vehicle Technology Center of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd.
