Dr Paital is Asst. Professor at OUAT, BBSR. I have worked at Dept of MRDG, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore-12 after finishing my short term PDF at Dept. of Pharmacy, University of Technology, Malaysia. My Ph.D. work was basically focused on oxygen consumption and oxidative stress physiology with respect to environmental fluctuations in aquatic models such as Scylla serrata and Heteropneustes fossilis. The major emphasis was on analyzing the biochemical changes in several proteins regulating reactive oxygen metabolism and correlating them to parameters such as salinity, temperature and oxygen levels. I did part of my work on protein purification and characterization of some antioxidant enzymes. My parent laboratory was also been working with some interesting models for studding the process of aging in compromised oxygen consumption like altered thyroid states where my contribution has been to study the oxygen consumption and respiratory states and electron transport chain enzymes in mitochondria and microsomes in various tissues of rats. During my Ph.D. My PDF works were basically focused on oxygen metabolism in microbes and their relation in cancer redox status modulation. I am acquainted in both the tissue culture and animal models In my last PDF on proteiomics and metabolomics in cancer stem cells using techniques such as FACS, 2D, RT-PCR and mass spec I tried to develop an anticancer drug for triple negative breast cancer cells. Fish immunology is his interest.

M.C. Harish has received his doctoral degree from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, India. He had worked in Defence Research and Developmental Organization (DRDO) from 2006 to 2011 as research fellow during his Ph.D for development of transgenic tomato with increased α-tocopherol content. With his research interest in molecular biology he took Plants as platform to work initially with biofortification of staple crops and Plant genetic engineering using transgenic and non-transgenic approaches. At present he is working to exploit multigene engineering of crops with enhanced key nutrients. Recently he has been awarded with UGC Start-Up Grant to take up his research in Thiruvalluvar University.
