Prof. Dr. Zongyong Jiang is a Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor at the Institute of Animal Science, Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Animal Husbandry at Sichuan Agricultural University, a Master's degree and a Ph.D. in Animal Nutrition at Northeast Agricultural University. He also has been a senior Visiting Scholar at the University of British Columbia. He is mainly engaged in animal nutrition and feed science research. He is currently the chairman of the Animal Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, director of the South China Key Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and Feed of the Ministry of Agriculture, and director of the Nutrition and Feed Function Laboratory of the National Swine Industry Technology System.
Dr. Xuefen Yang graduated from South China Agricultural University with a doctorate in agronomy in animal nutrition and feed science in 2011. The same year, she went to the College of Animal Science at the University of Missouri, USA, to study the trace element nutritional needs of pigs. Until 2016, she went to the School of Medicine, University of Wisconsin (Madison), USA, to study the interaction between intestinal microorganisms and immunity. She also serves as the deputy secretary-general of the Animal Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, the secretary of the South China Key Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and Feed of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, a core member of the National Pig Industry Technology System Piglet Nutrition Post, and a national feed quality and safety supervision expert. She mainly engaged in the research, promotion and application of pig dynamic nutrition and precision feeding, piglet intestinal health and nutritional regulation technology for fattening pork quality.
Dr. Hao Xiao is an Associate Researcher and Master Supervisor at the Institute of Animal Science, Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. In July 2011, she graduated from the Life Science and Technology Base Class of Huazhong Agricultural University with a Bachelor of Science degree; in July 2017, she graduated from the Institute of Subtropical Agriculture Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, with a Doctor of Science degree in Animal Eco-Nutrition. In 2017, she was awarded the title of Excellent Doctor of Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Young Associate Researcher. She is mainly engaged in the research of stress response and nutritional metabolism regulation mechanism of sows and piglets and is good at the research and development of anti-stress feed additives.
Dr. Kaiguo Gao is a researcher at the Institute of Animal Science, Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He is currently the deputy director of the Pig Nutrition and Feed Research Laboratory, a core member of the State Key Laboratory of Livestock and Poultry Breeding and the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, a member of the post-scientist team of the National Pig Industry Technology System, a special commissioner for rural and enterprise science and technology in Guangdong Province, and a national feed quality and safety supervision expert. He obtained a Ph.D. in Animal Nutrition and Feed Science from South China Agricultural University in 2011. In 2013, he was a visiting scholar at Texas A&M University in the United States, conducting research on sow nutrition and physiological metabolism. He has been engaged in scientific research and pig farm services in the animal husbandry industry for more than 20 years. He conducts research on the mechanism of nutrients improving sow reproductive performance and fetal metabolic programming.
Dr. Li Wang is a Researcher and Master Supervisor at the Institute of Animal Science, Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. She is currently the deputy director of the Institute of Animal Science, a post-scientist of the National Swine Industry Technology System, a post-scientist of the Guangdong Swine Industry Innovation Team, deputy director of the Swine Nutrition Committee of the Animal Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, a member of the Swine Standardization Working Group of the National Animal Husbandry Standardization Technical Committee, a member of the Livestock and Poultry Feed Standardization Working Group of the National Feed Industry Standardization Technical Committee, and a national feed quality and safety supervision expert. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Animal Husbandry and a Master's and Doctoral degree in Animal Nutrition and Feed Science at Northeast Agricultural University. She was also a Postdoctoral Fellow/Visiting Scholar at Cornell University. Her main work includes precise nutrition of live pigs, nutritional value assessment of feed raw materials, nutritional regulation of intestinal health of piglets, and research on application technology of safe and efficient antibiotic-free feed.
