Prof. Jeff Brady is an Assistant Professor in Plant and Soil Genetics at Texas A&M University. He holds an MS in Biology from Tarleton State University in 1998, and a Ph.D. in Genetics from Texas A&M University in 2006. His research program focuses on plant genomics and agricultural microbiomes. Brady’s lab uses next-generation DNA sequencing technologies to characterize germplasm and to identify genes involved in plant stress response/other important agricultural traits. Emerging projects involve drought tolerance in peanuts and native grass species.

Dr. James P. Muir is a Grassland Ecologist in Plant–Animal Interaction with an ecology and agronomy background focusing on legumes in ecosystems that contain ruminants. He graduated from Wheaton College and the University of Florida. He works as a legume and ruminant researcher with Texas A&M AgriLife Research, teaches part-time at Tarleton State University, and interacts with researchers in South America, Africa, and North America. His professional interests span all aspects of grassland ecology, from soil, hydrology, plants, and animals to the people that interact with them.
Prof. Eunsung Kan is an Associate Professor at Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at Texas A&M University. He earned a Ph.D. in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from the University of California. He won an “Outstanding Research Project in 2008” at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. His research interests include the production of biofuels, bioproducts, and biomaterials from dairy and agricultural wastes, removal of contaminants (i.e., nitrogen, phosphorus, and antibiotics) from dairy and agricultural wastewater, reuse of wastewater for farm irrigation and energy production, and the capture and conversion of greenhouse gases to valuable products.
