Dr. Sevinc Bermek currently serves as a Lecturer in International Political Economy at the Department of European and International Studies (EIS) at King’s College London. Previously, she was a fellow at the Department of Government at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She holds a PhD in Politics and Social Studies and an MA in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick. She was also a visiting research fellow at the Centre for European Studies (CES) at Harvard University in 2022 Spring. She also holds a BA in Economics (Honours) from Bilkent University in Ankara. Her current project is on domestic violence and gender in Turkey, funded by the LSE Covid Research Fund, and she investigates the role of victim-blaming social norms and violence against women. Her other project is on the public policy tools of authoritarian regimes (Russia and Turkey).
