Heng Wang received his bachelor’s degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China, in 2016 and a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, USA, in 2021. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Shien-Ming Wu School of Intelligent Engineering, South China University of Technology, China. His active research interests include magnetic sensing and motion tracking, state estimation, and magnetic actuation and control for medical robotics. Dr. Wang received the ASME DSCD Mechatronics Best Paper Award in 2020, and the Best Application Paper Award in the IEEE International Conference on Digital Twins and Parallel Intelligence in 2022. He is a member of the IEEE.
