Amr Amin is a Professor of Cell & Molecular Biology and a graduate faculty member at UAE University. He obtained his B.S. and M.S. at Cairo University, Egypt. He earned his PhD in Cell & Developmental Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and received postdoctoral training in Molecular Genetics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He was a Research Associateat the Department of Neuroscience, University of Pennsylvania, USA. He was also a Research Assistant in the Dept. of Biological Sciences, University of Illinois in Chicago, USA. He won the Shoman Award for Young Arab Researchers in Biological and Environmental Sciences. He is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences, the American Association of Cell Biology and the International Brain Research Organization.
