Giuseppina Di Stefano received her Degree in Biological Sciences cum laude, University
of Bologna, in 1988 and PhD in Biology and Physiology of the Cell, University of
Bologna, in 1995. Career: 1995-2004: University Researcher, Department of Experimental
Pathology, University of Bologna.
2005-present: Associate Professor of General Pathology,
Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences (DIMEC), School of
Medicine, University of Bologna.
Tutor in the PhD School in Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences (Applied Physiology and Physiopathology programme)
Co-Author of 80 publications on international journals
and 6 granted patents, dealing with liver targeting of
antiviral and anticancer drugs. Since 2010, her studies have focused on the
inhibition of lactate dehydrogense and its impact on cancer cell
biology.
