Rosen Miletiev graduated with an MSc in electrical engineering (2001) and PhD degree in “Automated Control Systems in Communications” (2005) from the Technical University of Sofia. Now, he is an associate professor in the Radio Communications Department, Faculty of Telecommunications, Technical University of Sofia (Bulgaria). His work in navigation systems has resulted in more than 75 publications, lectures in the field of measurements in communications, digital communications, a book in radio navigation and radar systems, four patents and some national awards. His major fields of scientific research are inertial systems, global navigation systems, remote control, development of information and communication systems, wireless communications, etc.
Peter Z. Petkov earned an MSc in electrical engineering (1995) and a PhD in electrodynamics and antennas (2008) from the Technical University of Sofia. He is now an associate professor in the Radio Communications Department, Faculty of Telecommunications, Technical University of Sofia (Bulgaria). He is the head of the antennas and microwave laboratory at the Technical University of Sofia. He has comprehensive experience in the satellite and aerospace industry including KRATOS (Andrew Satcom) and MAXAR (Space System Loral), USA. Several of his designs are in industrial use, and some of them are space qualified and in service in orbit. He has made significant contributions to antennas and microwaves through his extensive publication record. His research interests include antennas and microwaves, air-borne and space-borne antennas, satellite communications and remote sensing, space weather and radio-astronomy.
Rumen Yordanov graduated from the Technical University of Sofia with a master's degree in electronics. He has a PhD in microelectronics. The topic of his PhD thesis was “Problems Related to Automated Design of Hybrid Integrated Circuits and Multichip Modules”. Now, he is an associate professor in the Microelectronics Department, Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Technologies, Technical University of Sofia (Bulgaria). His scientific research and development are in the field of design of multichip modules, development of software systems for automated design and WEB-based systems for design and training in microelectronics, microelectronic systems with application in vehicles, development of innovative equipment and automated systems, etc. He is an author and co-author of over 70 publications and is participating in more than 10 scientific projects.
Tihomir S. Brusev received his MSc degree in automation and systems engineering from the Technical University of Sofia (Bulgaria) in 2000 and PhD from the Technical University of Sofia (Bulgaria). He is currently working as an associate professor in the Faculty of Telecommunications, Technical University of Sofia. His areas of interest are power supply circuits, integrated circuit design, microelectronics, manufacturing and measurement, PCB design and sensors.
