Chuang Yu is a member of the Jiusan Society, and he is a professor at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He completed his bachelor's degree at the School of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering of Harbin Engineering College in 2009; his master's degree at the Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2012; and his doctorate from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands in 2017. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and the University of Western Ontario in Canada before joining the School of Electrical Engineering of Huazhong University of Science and Technology in November 2020. Yu Chuang's recent research has focused on the field of electrochemical energy storage, particularly on the study of all-solid-state batteries and their key materials. He has led or participated in numerous scientific research projects, including projects from the National Natural Science Foundation, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Fujian Energy Device Science and Technology Innovation Laboratory. His current research areas include key technologies and materials for large-scale electrochemical energy storage for power grids, solid-state batteries, and power batteries for new energy vehicles.
