Prof. Li Xia is currently a professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He received his bachelor's degree and doctorate from Tsinghua University in 1999 and 2004, respectively. In recent years, he has conducted extensive and in-depth research in the fabrication of sensing fiber light sources, sensing microstructure applications, chemical and biological sensor design, and fiber optic sensor network construction and has carried out a series of applications in the fields of state grids, medical treatment, aerospace, etc. He has published more than 200 SCI journal papers and more than 80 international academic conference papers as a corresponding author, with more than 2,000 citations, including three frequently cited ESI papers. Prof. Li Xia has been granted 18 invention patents. He co-edited one textbook each for the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" and "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" for general higher education. He has won the first prize in science and technology of the China Institute of Communications and the second prize in science and technology progress of Hubei Province. In addition, he is an editorial board member of the journal "Optical and Quantum Electronics" and a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
