Thomas Mourgues is a dedicated orthodontist with a strong educational background and diverse professional experience. He completed his Master’s in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Rey Juan Carlos University in Alcorcon, Spain, from 2020 to 2023. Prior to that, he earned his Dentistry Degree from Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio in Villanueva de la Cañada, Spain, between 2015 and 2020.Throughout his career, Thomas has actively pursued further education and professional development. He has completed several refresher courses, including certifications in self-ligating techniques based on the "sagittal first" philosophy, Geniova Align, camouflage treatment with skeletal anchoring, and improving smile aesthetics. Notably, he also obtained a lingual certification and participated in a project analysis workshop led by Dr. DENTAL CLINIC. In terms of practical experience, Thomas has held various positions in the dental field. He was an exclusive orthodontist in Clichy, France, from January 2021 to January 2022, where he dedicated ten hours a day to orthodontic care. Thomas is multilingual, speaking French, Spanish, and English, which enhances his ability to communicate with a diverse patient base.
María José González-Olmo earned her Degree in Dentistry in 2006 from the University of Granada, achieving high marks in Orthodontics and Paediatric Dentistry. She pursued a Master's in Advanced Orthodontics at the European University of Madrid from 2007 to 2011. During 2008/2009, she completed the Official Master's Degree in Integrated Dentistry at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC). In 2015, she began her doctoral studies at the URJC and obtained her doctoral degree in 2019 with the highest distinction of Excellent Cum Laude. María José González-Olmo's research focuses on the study of orthodontics from both medical and psychosocial perspectives of the patient. She has authored 21 articles in international journals, 6 as the first author and 8 as the last author, all of which are indexed in JCR (4 Q1, 11 Q2, and 9 T1). Her contributions represent significant scientific advances, particularly in the study of biopsychosocial variables in dentistry. Notably, she introduced the study of self-efficacy—a variable not previously examined in this context—which plays a crucial role in improving patients' oral quality of life by significantly reducing physical discomfort associated with orthodontic issues, such as pain and chewing difficulties. Additionally, she has served as a referee for 18 articles in JCR journals and has participated in national and international scientific meetings, contributing to 6 international events with peer-reviewed papers.
Matthieu Lambert is a dedicated orthodontist with a solid foundation in dental practice and specialized training. He completed general dentistry internships at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAX) and has been involved in orthodontic practices at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) since 2022. Matthieu's commitment to orthodontics is evident in his ongoing professional development. He has participated in numerous training programs and workshops, including a significant thesis project focused on "Orthodontics in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Sleep Apnea in Children." His educational pursuits have taken him to various prestigious events, such as the Summit Invisalign in Monaco and the SEDO Winter and Summer sessions in Madrid, where he has honed his skills in skeletal anchorage camouflage and micro-screws. He is also a member of the European Orthodontic Society and the Jean Delaire Institute, reflecting his commitment to staying connected with the latest advancements in the field. In 2023, he presented a poster at the European Orthodontic Congress in Oslo addressing the impact of third upper molars on the distalization of the upper arch, showcasing his research interests and contributions to orthodontic knowledge.
