Prof. Ran Yang obtained her bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemistry and master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry from Zhengzhou University in 1999 and 2003, respectively. Thereafter, she obtained her PhD in Pharmacognosy from China Pharmaceutical University in 2006. From 2006 to 2014, she worked as a lecturer at the School of Chemistry, Zhengzhou University. In 2014, she was promoted to Associate Professor. Since 2019, she has served as a directly appointed professor at Zhengzhou University. Her research interests include the photoelectric sensing of nanomaterials and the rapid detection of food and drugs.
Prof. Lingbo Qu obtained his bachelor’s degree in Radiochemistry from Peking University in 1984, his master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry from Zhengzhou University in 1991, and his PhD in Pharmaceutical Analysis from China Pharmaceutical University in 1997. From 1997 to 1999, he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Medicinal Chemistry at Peking Union Medical College. He is the Vice President of Zhengzhou University, a candidate of the National Hundred Thousand Talents Project, an expert with special allowance from the State Council, a Central Plains Scholar, an Outstanding Expert of Henan Province, a Cross-Century Academic and Technical Leader of Henan Province, a Distinguished Professor of Henan Province, an Academic and Technical Leader of Henan Province, an Outstanding Youth of Science and Technology Innovation of Henan Province, an Academic and Technical Leader of the Henan Provincial Department of Education, an Outstanding Expert of the Tenth Batch of Henan Province, and a Science and Technology Innovation Talent of Henan Universities. His research interests include analytical chemistry, chemical biology, and food nutrition and function.

Prof. Xiaodi Niu obtained his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Education from the College of Chemistry, Northeast Normal University, in 2002, his master’s degree in Physical Chemistry from the College of Chemistry, Jilin University, in 2005, and his PhD in Polymer Physics and Chemistry from the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2008. He is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at the College of Food Science and Engineering, Jilin University. He is mainly engaged in research on anti-foodborne pathogen drug design, food safety testing and molecular pharmacology, and antibacterial and preservation materials. He has successfully established an analysis and verification platform for the targets and molecular action mechanisms of natural antimicrobial ingredients.
