Author Biographies

Mrs Miliara Eleni was born in Kavala in 1993. She is a graduate of the Department of Nursing of the School of Health Sciences at the former TEI of Crete and the Hellenic Mediterranean University (2011-2015). She holds a postgraduate degree from the interdisciplinary program of the Department of Medicine of the University of Thessaly and the Hellenic Open University: "Management of Aging & Chronic Diseases" (2017-2019). She has been a PhD candidate in the Department of Nursing at the Hellenic Mediterranean University with the following doctoral thesis: “Evaluation of an educational intervention to improve nursing students’ level of competence regarding EBP adaptation” since May 2020. Moreover, she speaks Greek and English. She has worked as a nurse at the ICU of the University Hospital of Heraklion. She has also worked as a school nurse mainly in the field of special education. She has been an associate of the Hellenic Mediterranean University in the undergraduate nursing program since 2020. She also collaborated with Frederick University of Cyprus in the postgraduate program “Community Ηealth” in 2021. Moreover she was responsible for the teaching of the course “Evidence Based Health: From Theory to Practice”. She has been working as a nursing professor in secondary education since 2022.
