Dr. Wenbo Liu has been working at the School of Electrical and Control Engineering, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology since 2005. He obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation at Northwest University of Light Industry, a Master's of Engineering in Control Theory and Control Engineering, and a Doctorate of Engineering in Pulp and Paper Engineering at Shaanxi University of Science and Technology. His main research directions are industrial automation, pulp and paper process control theory, and engineering.
Dr. Yu Xia currently works as a Lecturer and Master Supervisor at the School of Electrical and Control Engineering, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology. He obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation at Jimei University, a Master's of Engineering in Agricultural Electrification and Automation at Kunming University of Science and Technology, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Electrification and Automation at Northwest A&F University. He also completed a jointly trained Ph.D. program at the National Agricultural Informatization Engineering Technology Research Center and is a Visiting Researcher at Nagoya University. His research interests are the application of machine vision and spectral imaging technology, the R&D of optoelectronic nondestructive testing technology and equipment, and the R&D of sensor technology and intelligent perception systems.
Dr. Jie Kang currently works as an Associate Professor and Master Supervisor at the School of Electrical and Control Engineering, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology. She obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Enterprise Automation at the Shaanxi Institute of Technology, a Master's of Engineering in Power Electronics and Power Drive and a Doctorate of Engineering in Control Theory and Control Engineering at Northwestern Polytechnical University. From 2018 to 2019, she was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Kentucky, USA. Her main research directions are machine learning; computer vision, which mainly focuses on agricultural crop information collection and disease detection, non-destructive testing of crops, visual navigation of agricultural machinery; industrial defect detection (insulator defect detection, road defect detection, etc.); medical image segmentation; facial expression recognition; vehicle/pedestrian tracking; and intelligent control.
