Prof. Bomi Ryu earned, in the Department of Chemistry from the Pukyong National University, a BS (2007), an MS (2009), and a PhD (2011). She is now an associate professor in the Department of Food and Nutrition, Pukyong National University, and was an academic research professor in the Department of Fisheries and Biological Sciences, Jeju National University from 2017 to 2022. She has published 104 papers in various journals and has been awarded UQ Postdoctoral Research Fellowships 2013–2015. Her research topics mainly include bioactivity, protein hydrolysates, and antihypertensive effects.
