Carlo Genovese is Partner and Microbiology Laboratory Manager of Nacture S.r.l., Spin-off University of Catania, Department of Biomedical and Biotechnological Sciences (BIOMETEC). From 2016 to 2018, he was a research collaborator at IRCCS San Raffaele Pisana, BioBIM (Interinstitutional Multidisciplinary BioBank), Rome. From 2012 to 2015, he was a Research Fellow at the Department of Public Health and Infectious Diseases, University of Rome “Sapienza”. In 2011, he received his Ph.D. degree in Microbiology at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Catania. In 2007, he completed undergraduate studies in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies, at the University of Catania. His research keywords include microbial resistance, virulence factors, drug delivery, microbial products, natural extracts, and antimicrobial peptides.

Patrizia Ferroni is a Professor of Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology at the San Raffaele Roma Open University, and senior researcher at the Interinstitutional Multidisciplinary Biobank (BioBIM) of the IRCCS San Raffaele, Rome, Italy. She holds a doctorate in medicine (1985), a residency in oncology (1988), and a PhD in experimental medicine (1993) from Sapienza Rome University and conducted postdoctoral research at the Laboratory of Tumor Immunology & Biology, National Cancer Institute, NIH, Bethesda, MD, USA, first as a Fogarty fellow and then as a visiting scientist (1986-1990). From 2005 to 2013, she was appointed as Chief of the Thrombosis and Haemostasis Laboratory at the Dept. of Laboratory Medicine and Advanced Biotechnologies of the IRCCS San Raffaele, Rome. During these years, she has been a contract professor of Medical Oncology (Graduate Course for Laboratory Technicians) and General Pathology (Graduate Course for Nursing) at the IRCCS San Raffaele (held in collaboration with Sapienza University and Tor Vergata University). She is a member of the editorial boards of several peer-reviewed scientific journals. With a long-standing international background in translational research, she is currently involved in studies that focus on using AI to develop clinical decision tools to support predictive/precision medicine protocols and the use and construction of innovative IT platforms to improve the organization and efficiency of healthcare.
Fiorella Guadagni, MD, PhD, is Full Professor in Clinical Biochemistry at the San Raffaele Roma Open University and Scientific Coordinator of the Interinstitutional Multisciplinary Biobank (BioBIM) of the IRCCS San Raffaele Pisana, Rome. She received her M.D. in 1983, Specialist in Oncology (1987) and in Clinical Pathology (1996), Master in Economy and Health Management (2002), and PhD in Medical Biotechnologies (2009). From 1985 to 1991, she joined the Laboratory of Tumor Immunology & Biology (LTIB), National Cancer Institute (NCI), NIH, Bethesda, MD, USA. In 1992, she joined the Regina Elena Cancer Institute of Rome, where she worked first as Deputy Chief and then as the Director of the Laboratory of Clinical Pathology. From 2005 to 2013, she was appointed Director of the Dept. of Laboratory Medicine and Advanced Biotechnologies”, IRCCS San Raffaele, Rome. In view of her expertise, she is a member of the Quality Management Group on Biobanks and the Working Group in "Biospecimen Sciences" of the International Society of Biorepository Research (ISBER). Since 2014, she has been a consultant to the Center for Immuno-Oncology, Center for Cancer Research, NCI, NIH, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Presently, she is the project coordinator of the H2020 REVERT Project (GA 848098). Her major scientific interest is focused on translational research and the use and construction of innovative informatics platforms to improve health care organization and efficiency.
