Francesca Lionetto is an Assistant Professor in Principles of Chemical Engineering at the Department of Innovation Engineering of the University of Salento. After graduating in Materials Engineering at the University of Lecce, she worked for a year and a half at the Bosch Vehicle Component Study Center in Modugno, carrying out six months of research at the Bosch headquarters in Stuttgart (Germany). She left the company to carry out a PhD in Materials Engineering at the University of Salento. Between 2002 and 2003, she was a visiting scientist at the University of Nottingham on a Marie Curie fellowship. She was a post doc and assistant researcher (RTD-A) at the University of Salento, where she is the holder of courses on Transport Phenomena. In 2016, she was a visiting researcher at the University of Kaiserslautern. She received the National Scientific Qualification (ASN) for the functions of Associate Professor in SC09/D2 (systems, methods and technologies of chemical and process engineering) since the 2016 session. She is the author of over 160 scientific publications in international journals, conference proceedings and book chapters. She is a member of the editorial board of three international scientific journals and a reviewer for about 30 international journals. She is the author of two national patents and one European patent application.
