Dr. Sivaramakrishnan Rajaraman is a Research Scientist at the National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA. His work revolves around harnessing computational sciences and engineering techniques to revolutionize automated medical decision-making. Dr. Rajaraman’s diverse research portfolio spans machine learning, data science, biomedical image analysis, and computer vision. Dr. Zhiyun (Jaylene) Xue is a Staff Scientist at the Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications (LHC) at the National Library of Medicine (NLM). She obtained her Ph.D. from Lehigh University, USA, and her M.S. and B.S. from Tsinghua University, China. Dr. Xue has been working at LHC since 2006 on a number of medical imaging informatics projects. By applying her knowledge and expertise in the fields of machine learning, image processing, and computer vision to analyze biomedical images in different modalities, Dr. Xue puts her R&D efforts into those projects with the goals of advancing the research in biomedical informatics and data science, assisting clinicians at the point-of-care, improving the health of the people, and addressing the needs of the underserved population.

Dr. Sameer Antani is a Principal Investigator (tenure track) in the Intramural Research Division of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He earned his Ph.D. and M.Eng. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and his B.E. (First Class with Distinction) in Computer Engineering from the Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly University of Pune), India. Dr. Antani is a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE), a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and a Senior Member of the SPIE. His research focuses on novel algorithms in medical imaging and multimodal machine learning and artificial intelligence toward reliable predictions in medicine. Advances are demonstrated through research explorations in computational health applications for disease screening, diagnostics, risk prediction, and treatment. He has received several awards including NLM Board of Regents Awards and NIH Director's Awards for his scientific contributions and research leadership. He serves on the Editorial Boards of MDPI journals Diagnostics and Data, respectively, and is a reviewer for several leading journals and conferences in his field.
