Dr. Riyaz Bashir obtained a Bachelor of Medicine degree from the University of Kashmir, Amar Singh College in Srinagar, India, in 1992. In 1993, he interned at Srinagar & Associated Hospitals and served as a resident physician in the Internal Medicine Department of the University of Kashmir at SMHS Hospital in Srinagar, India. In 1994, he served as a research assistant at the Nassau University Medical Center. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the American College of Physicians, and the American Society of Angiology.
