Dr. Moshe Rav Acha is a senior Cardiac Electrophysiologist at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center, affiliated with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and is currently the Head of the Syncope Service in the hospital. Dr. Rav-Acha graduated from the Hebrew University Medical School and completed internal medicine and cardiology residencies at Hadassah Hospital, Jerusalem. Dr. Rav-Acha completed a cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, affiliated with Harvard University, Boston, MA, USA. Dr. Rav-Acha is deeply involved in both basic and clinical research. He completed a Ph.D. thesis within the Hebrew University Neuroscience Department on the characteristic cellular electrical manifestations underlying Parkinson's disease. Dr. Rav-Acha has contributed to several publications, including multicenter studies regarding pacemaker complications, COVID-19 arrhythmias, and dynamic QRS width in heart-failure patients.
Prof. Ilan Goldengerg is the Director of the Clinical Cardiovascular Research Center at the University of Rochester, organizing multicenter trials and the International LQTS Registry, with an active role in CC and DCC capacities. He has also mentored more than 100 trainees, including medical students, residents and fellows, and Ph.D. applicants. He earned his M.D. from the Israel-Sackler School of Medicine in 1989. He has been involved in clinical research into cardiac arrhythmias over the past 15 years and this proposed trial is in the area of his expertise, as documented by over 500 published papers. He has been serving as the PI on more than 50 government-supported international clinical trials and registries and industry-supported clinical studies and trials. Accordingly, Dr. Goldenberg has substantial experience in clinical trial conduct, organization, design, and data analysis. Over the past 14 years, he has been involved in the design and conduction of multicenter clinical trials, collaborating with the Heart Research Follow-Up Program at the University of Rochester and serving as the Director of the Israeli Association for Cardiovascular Trials.
Prof. Michael Glikson is the Director of the Jesselson Integrated Heart Center of the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, in charge of both the Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Departments. He is a Professor of Cardiology at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and an Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the Mayo College of Medicine and Science. Prof. Glikson graduated in Cardiology and Electrophysiology at the Sheba Medical Center and at the Mayo Clinic, respectively. He served as the Director of EP at the Sheba Medical Center until 2017. He served as the chair of the Israeli working group on pacing and arrhythmia and as president of the Israel Heart Society. He served as the co-chair and chair of the scientific program of EHRA in 2015–2019, as a member of the ESC scientific program committee (2017–2020), and as an ESC board member from 2018–2020. He was the chair and first author of the EHRA EAPCI consensus paper on LAAs and the ESC 2021 pacing guidelines. He is currently the chair of the ESC board committee for big data.
